Departmental Mission Statement The SID Global Mission Department is committed to serve the Church to establish new groups of believers where presently there are none, to herald the second coming of Christ and to teach and restore neglected truths such as the authority of God and Scripture, the salvation of humanity, Seventh-day Sabbath and Christian lifestyle.
Departmental Vision The Global Mission Pioneers have entered into many un-entered areas and through them, thousands of people have heard about Jesus Christ.
Departmental Objectives The General Objectives (Five-Year View)
- To train the Global Mission leadership in the 8 Unions.
- To identify at least 500 new un-entered areas.
- To train 1500 Global Mission Pioneers.
- To produce resource materials.
- To actively contribute to the Division-wide 5 initiatives.
- To supervise the Global Mission projects.
- To promote fund raising activities.
- To upgrade Global Mission Chapels.

Global Mission Pioneer Program
ITRODUCTION
Why does the Seventh-day Adventist church needs Global Mission Pioneers? Below is two possible reasons:
- Jesus said, “ The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into His harvest field” Matthew 9:37 (NIV)
- “The work of God in this earth can never be finished until men and women, comprising church members, rally to the work and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers.”

There is no doubt that there is a lot of work to be done and that is to be accomplished by all our SDA church members working harmoniously together which is a God given privilege.
Who are Global Mission Pioneers?
- They are Lay volunteers who serve for a minimum of 12 months in an un-
entered area.
b) They are in good standing as members of the Seventh- day Adventist
Church.
- They feel called by God to serve in outreach work.
- They have been recommended by their church and approved by the Conference.
- They enter into a contract to serve as volunteers for at least 12 months.
- B. How are they deployed?
- They receive some basic training in outreach work.
- The Conference sends them out in one or two into targeted areas for 12 months.
- Basic supplies for their ministry are provided during and after their training.
- The Conference provides suitable accommodation for the pioneers in their area.
- The Pioneers of the same gender or husband- wife are deployed together.
- Permission for pioneers to operate in an area is sought by the Conference.
- A letter of introduction is provided for each pioneer by the Conference.
- C. Reporting
- There is a Daily and Monthly Report Form for each team.
- These two reports must be sent to the Conference Adventist Mission Co-odinator.
- No Global Mission funds are released without authorization from the co-coordinator.
- Stipend will not be sent without receiving the monthly report, except for

- AM co-coordinator and other directors may visit the GM Pioneer from tine to time.
- A nearby Pastor will be assigned as advisors to the pioneer team.
- When the GM Pioneer arrives in an area, they should report to the local authorities.
D. Finance.
- Expenses are shared between GC, SID, Union, Field or Conference
respectively
- Funding secured through proposals submitted for targeted areas.
- Organization provides a stipend for each pioneer on monthly basis.
- Training expenses are borne by organization on shared basis.
- Organization pays rent for pioneer’s accommodation in targeted areas.
- Travel expenses are borne by the Conference on an approval expense basis.
- Organization pays for approved literature and other supplies for the pioneers,
- All expenses are to be approved by the Conference before they are incurred.
- Conferences are to have a budget to take care of emergency sickness of pioneers and their immediate family members.
- Conferences will be responsible for repatriating pioneers to their homes.
