Departmental Mission Statement
To follow in the footsteps of Christ, who while on this earth, spent much of His time performing medical ministry. As Jesus revealed, healing is not only confined to the physical part of man, but includes the social, spiritual and emotional dimensions, all essential to a complete and abundant life. It is our Divine mandate to make man whole. By doing so, we exemplify the love, compassion and mercy of our Saviour. Departmental Vision
Every individual should be made aware that our bodies are the temple of God. Through our health institutions and church members we aim to promote, encourage, equip and help people adopt a healthy way of living that would prevent disease, delay premature ageing, unnecessary deaths and live a holistic lifestyle through the use of scientifically proven data which are consistent with the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. Departmental Objectives
The General Objectives (Five-Year View) - Integrate the health message in all the different programs of the church and use its agencies in promoting the five SID initiatives.
- Promote HIV prevention and encourage participation in AIDS programs.
- Educate and encourage church members to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
- Supervision of health institutions and provide the needed personnel.
- Provide upgrading for our health personnel.
- Utilize the health message as an effective evangelistic tool.
- Provide and distribute relevant and updated health materials.
